Malaysia is implementing e-invoicing in phases, requiring businesses to prepare for key deadlines. By August 2024, e-invoicing will be mandatory for companies earning over RM100 million (€20 million) annually. In January 2025, the requirement will extend to businesses with revenue between RM25 million (€5 million) and RM100 million, and by July 2025, it will apply to all Malaysian companies. Meanwhile, Singapore is introducing its Invoice. Now e-invoicing framework, which will be voluntary for GST-registered businesses starting in May 2025, with business-to-government (B2G) transactions expected to become mandatory in the coming years.
